Starting from the 11th of March for International Women's Day, JOLOKO together with Patron are bringing you a ladies night with a twist! Every Wednesday both women and men can sip on margaritas for a good cause. Frozen, shaken or on the rocks, 100% of the proceeds go to Tenaganita.
What is Tenaganita?
Tenaganita is a labour and human rights organisation born out of the struggles of women workers in 1991.
Since then, Tenaganita’s scope has grown in leaps and bounds and today, they address issues of exploitation, discrimination, unequal treatment and violence not just against women, but also refugees and migrant workers.
They believe that women, workers and refugees can achieve their potential and free themselves from the web of slavery in a globalised world.
What do they do?
Their organisation has 5 major focus areas of work:
- migrants right protection
- refugee action program
- anti trafficking in person
- shelter for trafficked women and children
- business accountability & responsibility
