Amelia Ong began singing and played piano at the age of 4. Her life revolved around many big jazz names such as Buby Chen, Benny Likumahua, Ireng Maulana, Yance Manusama, Idang Rasjidi and more from a young age.
She finished her study at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2009 as Bachelor of Music, majoring in Jazz Performance.
Amelia has developed a concept for herself with a wide repertoire of jazz standards and her love of world music, which gives her a “new age” edge both in her compositions, arrangements, and performances.
