PA Hafiz is one of the founding member of Kuala Lumpur rock band Speakzodiac. Now having recently released their critically acclaimed album Northern Drug in late 2016. The singer and guitar player with “vocals of acquired taste, granted, and it goes hand in glove with the music” (The Star Newspaper) is branching out laterally doing solo performances in acoustic. PA Hafiz's music is reminiscent of the sounds excavation of Speakzodiac stripping down to its intrinsic remains while anchoring passionately in the lyrical reconnaissance of the fragility of desire and heightened debauchery. His songs stream and echo a long, winding journey into the subconscious that leave scattered debris that is not fading away, but only to be augmented into existence.

An avid listener of folk music of old and new, Sounds of Kites took birth from Subang Jaya’s own, Wan Umar Shahid and his ideas of showcasing music through his untrained yet untamed guitar playing, coupled together with his deep yelpy vocals. Often on stage with more than one guitar as his weapon of choice, the songs he plays paint the audience pictures ranging from the galloping sounds of taking a ride on a steam-engined locomotive, to the soundscape that is justifiable only by drifting in a vast black sea. With his long-awaited debut album, ‘Remember Sycamore’ to take birth mid 2018, Sounds of Kites will take you on a musical journey that would make fishermen hungry for more water, and children run on fields with feet on forgotten shoes.

Momin Deen is a folk rock singer based in Kuala Lumpur, spent his adulthood in Perth and has toured Australia, England, also participated for Urbanscapes ;in which he thought was impossible. He is a regular at “gaslight KL” and usually never disappoints the crowd there.
