The Sweatbox and its 8th Long Play, our 9 h marathon set edition. features Alex Martin this Saturday!

The Malaysian- born Alex Martin is at the forefront of Malaysia's entertainment industry for many years. From co-owning the notorious Quinte, a Heritage Row nightspot reminding us all of how young and crazy ravellers we were, to organising fashion events all around Asia to his new venture Daydream Pool Party series to events sound supplying with his AM Production, Alex is a versatile entertainer.
He always has something new to try and if you always find out about a random party somewhere new and somehow entincing, then this is him !

As "hard work never killed anyone" seems to be his motto in life, here we have him this Saturday, gracing our decks with a selection of tunes that will keep us on our feet for 9 h straight!
For those of you who are not familiar with Alex Martin, we advise you to brace yourselves - he is a surprising performer . Soulful house now and the next thing you know he is making everyone jump on psy trance. In other words , his awesome randomness is not only brilliant but very well crafted and thoughtful and always crossing boundaries in his own original way .
Brace yourselves because he is rolling up his sleeves this Saturday for your 9 hours of unadulterated dancing pleasures!
( it's actually how i have met him and figured he was a DJ whilst rolling his sleeves ahead of a gig he was playing in the now defunct Quinte) 
As controversial as Quinte was as a party spot , politics don't stop great music and we all managed to form and keep lasting friendships on that dancefloor . Another rising star on Malaysia's nightlife display- JonnyVicious has gathered his inspiration to become a stellar DJ right from that very dancefloor (shhh, you haven't heard this from us ;-) . Nature always runs its course and just as a string of weeds rising up solemnly from the crack of a sidewalk in a shanty town, it is the same way talent always rises above the surface.
As we always aim to educate our party goers to good music , never forget that the huge DJs you see today, have started the same way- somewhere , in a dim lit club in an unlikely part of town . Resilience , hard work, dedication and persistance added to sheer talent is what shines through in the end . So expect a stellar Saturday night with Alex Martin! See you all on the dancefloor! ♥
